area of octagon is sum of following:
⏩ two trapizium
⏩one Rectangle
★area of two trapezium :
1/2 ×(sum of parallel side)×h
1/2×(12+5)×6
17×3=51 unit sq.
two trapezium=51×2=102unit sq.
★area of Rectangle:
5×12=60 unit sq.
total area= 162 unit sq.

sorry but the 5 is the breadth of the rectangle so how come it be b1 of trapezium?

uff yrr octagon has 8 sides in which 4 are equal to eac other and another 4 are also equal to each other
