Process:

To find the area of the given figure, first we have to distribute the figure in parts as done in the picture attached. Then, we have to find the area of all the parts respectively and add them to get the area of the whole figure.

Solution:

Length of rectangle 1 = 27cm

Breadth of rectangle 1 = 7cm

Area of rectangle 1 = (l × b) sq. units

Area of rectangle 1 = (27 × 7)cm²

Area of rectangle 1= 189cm²

—————————————————————

Length rectangle 2 = (27 - 13)cm = 14cm

Breadth of rectangle 2 = 13cm

Area of rectangle 2 = (l × b) sq. units

Area of rectangle 2 = (14 × 13)cm²

Area of rectangle 2 = 182cm²

—————————————————————

Length of rectangle 3 = 27cm

Breadth of rectangle 3 = 9cm

Area of rectangle 3 = (l × b) sq. units

Area of rectangle 3 = (27 × 9)cm²

Area of rectangle 3 = 243cm²

—————————————————————

Area of the whole figure = Sum of area of all rectangles

Area of the whole figure = (189 + 182 + 243)cm²

Area of the whole figure = 614cm²

Hence, the area of the figure given is 614cm².
