i.e. AB ll EC , AB=EC=30

then ED = DC-EC

ED = 90-30=60

square of AD=sq. of AE + sq. of DE (by pathagoras theorem)

sq. of (100) =sq. of AE+ sq. of(60)

10000=sq. of AE + 3600

10000-3600=sq. of AE

6400= sq. of AE

sq. root of 6400=AE

80 =AE

area of trapezium = 1/2 (sumof its parallel sides) x height

area= 1/2 (30+ 90)x 80

area=1/2 x 120 x 80

area= 4800
