Find the area of the grass in the below image.
-A garden is in the shape of a rectangle measuring 16 m by 12 m.
-Work out the area of the grass in the garden.

area of full garden=16×12

=192m²

length of grass=12-2

=10m

breadth of grass=16-2

14m

area of flowerbed=6×2.5

15m²

area of grass including flowerbed=L×B

10×14

140m²

area of grass =140m²-15m²

= 125m²
