we know that r=42 cm and length of corresponding arc= 44 cm

l=πrθ/180
44=22/7*42*θ/180
θ=60°

area of minor segment = πr^2θ/360-1/2r^2 sin θ
= 22/7*42*42*60/360-1/2*42*42*sin60

to solve this you get

= 160.188 cm square.
