Side of the parallelogram are a=2hati+4hatj-6hatk and b=hati+2hatj then the area is 13.41 Units.

1. Here we know that the area of parallelogram with given sides a and b will be equal to magnitude of cross product of a & b.

2. Now cross product of  a and b can be calculated by determinant method.

3. From calculations the cross product comes out to be 12hati+6hatj.

4. Now the magnitude of the cross product =\sqrt{12^{2} +6^{2} }

                                                                        =\sqrt{144+36}

                                                                        =\sqrt{180}

                                                                        = 13.41. units
