let the radius of circle =r
circumference \: of \: circle = 2\pi \: r \\ according \: to \: question \: circumference \:  = 44 \\ therefore \\ 2\pi \: r = 44 \\ r =  \ \frac{44}{2\pi } \\
r =7
area \: of \: circle = \pi {r}^{2}
=22/7×7^2
=22×7
= 154
