Answer: 16 sq. cm

Step-by-step explanation:since, opposite sides are equal in this question. So, the given quadilateral is a parallelogram.

Now, diagnol of parallelogram divide it into two congruent triangle having equal areas. So, 2×Area of triangle with base 8cm and height 2 cm = Area of parallelogram.

Area of parallelogram= 2×1÷2×2×8= 16 sq. cm.

Ar. Of quadilateral = 16 sq. cm
