One side(l)=48m
diagonal (d)=50
Let other side be b
By pythagoras theorem
l {}^{2} + {b}^{2} = d {}^{2}
 {48}^{2} + {b}^{2} = 50 {}^{2}
b^2=50^2-48^2=2500-2304=196
b=14m
Area=l×b=14×48=672m^2
hope this helps : )

Given...✒

Find the area of rectangular plot, one side of which is 48m and its diagonal is 50m

To find...✒

Area of Rectangular Plot ?

Solution...✒

Length² + breadth² = diagonal²

So breadth = √50² - 48²

Breadth = 14m

Area = 48 × 14 = 672m²
