Question -

Q. Find the area of the rhombus whose side is 6.5cm and whose altitude is 4.0cm
___________________
Note :-

The question is a bit changed, Instead of 40cm we changed it into 4.0cm as because a rhombus having side 6.5cm can never have an altitude of 40cm

Therefore, the question had some rectification

Answer -

We know,

Rhombus is also a kind of parallelogram . So, we can use the exact same fomula that we use in parallelogram for rhombus.

∴ Area of parallelogram

= Area of rhombus = Base × Height

Given Data -

Base = Side = 6.5cm

Altitude = Height = 4.0cm

∴ Area of given rhombus

= (6.5 × 4) cm²

= 26 cm²

Hence, area of given rhombus is 26 cm²
