l = 3.5 cm
r = 5 cn

area of sector = 1/2 *lr
= 35 * 5 / 20
= 35/ 4
= 8.75 cm 2

Answer:

8.749 sq.cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Radius = 5 cm

Length of arc = 2 \pi r \frac{\theta}{360}

3.5 =2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 5 \times \frac{\theta}{360}

\theta = 40.09

Area of sector =  \pi r ^2 \frac{\theta}{360}

Area of sector =   \frac{22}{7} \times 5^2 \times \frac{40.09}{360}

Area of sector =   8.749 cm^2

Hence the area of sector is 8.749 sq.cm.
