Find the area of the sector of a circle with radius 4 cm and of angle 30. Also, find the area of the corresponding major sector. [use = 3.14] 9.

We know,

area of sector = x/360×Π r^2

Now,

radius= 4cm and angle is 30

So according to formula,

30/360×Π ×4^2

1/12×22/7×16

=4.19 cm^2

We know,

Area of major sector=Area of circle- area of minor sector

So,

Area of major sector=Π r^2 - 4.9 cm^2

=22/7×4^2 - 4.9

= 22/7× 16 - 4.9

=50.24 - 4.9

=46.05cm^2
