Given :-

  • Radius = 7 cm
  • Central angle = 180°

To Find :-

  • Area of sector = ?

Answer :-

  • Area of sector = 77 cm²

Explaination:-

As we know that Area of sector is calculated by :

  • Area of sector = (ϴ/360°) πr²

Where r is radius, ϴ is central angle in degrees and π = 22/7.

Now, subsitute the given values in above formula :-

⇢ Area of sector = 180°/360° × 22/7 × 7 × 7

⇢ Area of sector = 18/36 × 22 × 7

⇢ Area of sector = 9/18 × 22 × 7

⇢ Area of sector = 3/6 × 22 × 7

⇢ Area of sector = 1/2 × 22 × 7

⇢ Area of sector = 77 cm²

Therefore,area of sector is 77 cm².

Given : sector of circle whose radius 7 cm and central angle 180°

To Find :  the area of the sector

Solution :

Area of circle  = πR²

R = Radius

π = 22/7

Area of Sector =  ( Sector central Angle / 360° )  πR²

Sector Angle = 180°

Radius = 7 cm

Area of Sector =  ( 180°/ 360° )  (22/7)(7)²

=  (1/2) * 22 * 7

= 11 * 7

= 77   cm²

area of the sector whose radius 7 cm and central angle 180° =  77   cm²
