Answer:

The Area of the shaded part is 12.75 m2

Explanation:

To do this we subtract the area of the smaller rectangle from the bigger rectangle.

Area of bigger triangle = 5 +1.5 (length) and 2+1.5 (breadth)

Formula is Length × Breadth

6.5×3.5= 22.75m2

Area of smaller triangle = 2×5 and we get 10m2

For shaded area= 22.75-10= 12.75m2

Answer:

30 m

Explanation:

Long rectangle

length - 1.5 m + 1.5 m + 5 m = 8m

breadth - 1.5 m

area - L x B

       = 8m x 1.5m

       = 12 m

Small rectangle

length - 2m

breadth - 1.5 m

Area - L x B

        = 2m x 1.5m

        = 3m

since the opposite rectangles are equal double it -

Long rectangle

12 x 2

= 24

small rectangle

3 x 2

= 6

add them both

24 + 6

=30m
