Let R = outer radius = 4.5 cm &

r = inner radius = 2.5 cm

Area of a circle = πr²

Area of outer circle = πR²

= 3.14 × 4.5cm × 4.5cm

= 63.58 cm²

Area of inner circle = πr²

= 3.14 × 2.5cm × 2.5cm

= 19.62 cm²

Area of Shaded region = ar(Outer circle) - ar(inner circle)

= 63.58 cm² - 19.62 cm²

= 43.96 cm²

{\bold{{\blue{Required\: answer\: =\: 43.96\: cm^2}}}}
