area of circle = pi *r*r

r = 7/2 =3.5

area of shaded portion = total area - area of circles

                                      = (14*14)-(4((22/7)*3.5*3.5))

                                      =196 - 4*38.5

                                      =196 - 154

                                      =42 cm square
