area of shaded portion=area of rectangle-area of 4 unshaded triangles

area of rectangle =l×b

=20×10

=200

area of triangle with sides 6cm and 4cm is

=1/2×b×h

h=6cm(as the polygon is rectangle then angle will be 90,so h is 6cm)

b=4cm

=1/2×6×4

=12

area of triangle with sides 14cm and 6cm is

=1/2×6×14

=42

area of triangle with sides 4cm and 16cm is

1/2×4×16

=32

area of triangle with sides 6cm and 4cm is

1/2×4×6

=12

area of shaded portion =200-12+42+32+12

=200-98

=102
