Answer:

first of all we find out area of square

that is;

side× side = 14x14= 196cm square

Then;

find the area of two semi-circle made in square.

Here,radius is d÷2= 14÷2 = 7 cm.

area of two semi circle is =(πr square÷2)x2

=(22÷7x7x7)x2

=154cm square

Area of shaded region = area of square - area of circle

= area of shaded region = 196- 154=42 cm square
