Step-by-step explanation:

(D) area of shaded region =area of rect. - area of triangle

area of rect = l× b

=12 × 16

=192cm sq.

area of triangle = 1/2 × b × h

=1/2 × 10 × 8

=40 cm sq.

= 192 - 40

=152 cm sq.

(H) area of shaded region= area of rect - area of trapezium

area of rect = l × b

=12 ×18

=216cm sq.

area of trapezium = 1/2 × h × sum of parallel sides = 1/2 × 6 × (10 + 8)

= 1/2 ×6 × 18

= 54 cm sq.

=216 - 54

=162 cm sq.

Answer:

It is the answer of (d) . Area of triangle = 1/2 x base x height . so 1/2 x 8 x 10 cm square = 40 cm square . Now area of rectangle = l x b . so 12 x 16 cm square = 232 cm square . now area of shaded region = 232 - 40 cm square = 192 cm square
