It is one fourth of a whole circle. So, you can find the area of the whole circle and then divide by 4 to find the area of your quarter circle.

so, area will (A) = 1/4πr^2

here r1 = 28cm and r2 = 21cm

so, here the area of the shaded region will

= {1/4π(r1)^2 - 1/4π(r2)^2}

= 1/4π {(r1)^2-(r2)^2}

= 1/4π {28^2 - 21^2}

= 1/4π (343)

= 269.39 cm^2
