Area of outer square = (l×b) sq. unit

= (34×30) cm² = 1020 cm²

Area of inner square = (l×b) sq. unit

= (22×26) cm² = 572 cm²

Area of shaded region = Area of outer square - Area of inner square.

= (1020 - 572) cm² = 448 cm² Ans.
