AnaLySis:-

  • To find the area of shaded region we've to firstly find the area of rectangle and triangle.

Formulas UsEd:-

  • Area of triangle
  • Area of rectangle

SoLuTioN:-

Area of rectangle:-

 \large \boxed{ \red{length \times bredth}} \\  \\  = 12 \times 8 \\  \\  =   \boxed{{96 \: cm}^{2} }

Area of triangle:-

\large \boxed{ \red{base \times height \times  \frac{1}{2}}}  \\  \\  = 8 \times 4 \times  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \\  = 32 \times  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \\  = 16

Area of shaded region:-

 \large \boxed {\red{area \: of \: rectangle - area \: of \: triangle}} \\  \\  = 96 - 16 \\  \\  =  {80}^{2}

Hence,the area of shaded region is  {80}^{2}
