area of rectangle =length ×breadth =3×7=21cm²

area of right angled triangle =1/2 ×2×4=4cm²

area of right angled triangle =1/2 ×3 ×2.5=3.75cm²

area of shaded region =area of rectangle-(sum of 2 triangles)

=21-(4+3.75)=21-7.75=13.25cm²

therefore, area of shaded region is 13.25cm²
