Area of middle part

area of rectangle + 2* area of hemisphere

In rectangle

B=12-4-4=12-8=4cm

L=26-3-3=26-9=17cm

Area= 17*4+2*pi*r^2/2

68+2*22/7*2*2/2

68+88/7

68+12.57

80.57cm^2

Now area of big rectangle = L*B

12*26=312cm^2

area of shaded region = 312-80.57=231.43cm^2

Answer: 6.57m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

length of the unshaded region =26-(3+3)=20m

Radius of the unshaded region =12-(4+4) =4m=2m.  Taking Pi=22/7

Therefore its Area=(2 π r h+2 π r^2) +(2  π r^2)

(2 x 22/7 x 2 x 16 + 2 x 22/7 x 2 x 2) + (2 x 22/7 x 2 x 2)

=1760/7m^2

Total area of the rectangle =(L X B)

Length=26m

Breadth=12m

26 x 12

=312m^2

Therefore the area of the shaded portion=312-1760/7

=424/7=60.57m^2
