 = ( {side}^{2} ) - (\pi {r}^{2} ) \\  = (10 \times 10) - ( \frac{22}{7}  \times 3.5 \times 3.5) \\  = 100 - ( \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{35}{10}  \times  \frac{35}{10} ) \\  = 100 - ( \frac{22 \times 5 \times 35}{10 \times 10} ) \\  = 100 - ( \frac{22 \times 35}{2 \times 10} ) \\  = 100 - ( \frac{11 \times 35}{10} ) \\  = 100 - ( \frac{385}{10} ) \\  = 100 - 38.5 \\  = 61.5 {cm}^{2}

Hence shaded region = 61.5 cm²
