Find the area of the shaded region if PQ= 24 cm PR =7 cm and O is the centre of the circle given.​

Answer:

Area of semi circle PQ to R= 1/2 pie r2

= 1/2 ×22/7×24 ÷ 2

= 11/7× 12

= 132cm/ 7

now the area of triangle but before finding the area , we will take out the length of QR with the help of Pythagoras theorem=

= 24cm2=7 cm2 +x

= 576 cm = 49 cm +x

= 576 cm - 49 cm = x

= 527 cm= x

=

 \sqrt{527}   = x

= approx 22.95

= now area of triangle= 1 upon 2 into base into height

=1/2 ×22.95× 7

= 22.95/2× 7

= 160.65/2

= now the area of shaded portion= area of triangle - area of semi circle

= 132 cm/ 7- 160.65/2

= 1123.11 cm/14
