Answer:

Area of shaded region = Area of square − Area of two semicircles

Area of square ABCD =14×14 = 196cm2

Area of two semicircles = Area of 1 complete circle =722×7×7 =154cm2

∴ Area of shaded region = 196−154 =42 cm2

Given: The area of the square = 18m² - 15mn + 9.

The area of the circle inside it = 13m² + 10mn + 3.

To find: The area of the shaded region

Solution: We're assuming the shaded region refers to the remaining area inside the square except or outside the circle.

Hence, to find the area of the shaded region we need subtract the area of the circle inside from the area of the square.

Therefore, the area of the shaded region

= 18m² - 15mn + 9 - (13m² + 10mn + 3)

= 18m² - 15mn + 9 - 13m² - 10mn - 3

= 5m² - 25mn +6

Answer: 5m² - 25mn +6
