D= 12cm (bigger circle)

R= 6cm

d= 8cm ( smaller circle)

r= 4cm

area of a shaded region= area of the bigger circle- area of a smaller circle.

= πR²-πr²

=π(R²-r²)

=22/7 [(6cm)²-(4cm²)]

= 22/7 (36cm²-16cm²)

= 22/7 × 20cm²

= 3.14×20cm²

= 62.8cm²
