Answer:

area of full circle = 2πr^2

d=21

r=1.5

2×22/7×15/10×15/10 =14.12 cm^2

area of semi circle = πr

22/7×15/10=4.71cm^2

two semi circle = 2×4.71=9.42cm^2

  • area of full circle - area of two semi circle

14.12-9.42=4.7 cm^2

area of shaded part = 4.7 cm^2

Given that,

\bf ➯diameter \: of \: a \: circle \:  =21m

\bf ➩area \: of \: circle \:  = \pi \:  {r}^{2}

\bf ⇒\dfrac{22}{7}  \times  \dfrac{22}{2}  \times  \dfrac{21}{2}

\bf ⇒\dfrac{11 \times 3 \times 21}{2}

\bf ➾346.5

\bf ⇒area \: of \: 2 \: semi \: circle \:  = 2 \times  \dfrac{1}{2}  \times \pi \: r

\bf ⇒\cancel 2 \times \cancel \dfrac{1}{2}  \times \cancel \dfrac{22}{7}  \times  \cancel \dfrac{10.5}{2}  \times  \cancel \dfrac{10.5}{2}

\bf ⇒ \dfrac{11 \times 5.25 \times 10.5}{7}

\bf ➾86.625 {m}^{2}

\bf ➯area \: of \: shaded \: region

\bf ⇒ \dfrac{area \: of \: circle}{2 \: semi \: circle}

\bf ⇒346.5 - 86.625

\bf ⇒259.875 {m}^{2}

\therefore area \: of \: shaded \: region \:  =259.875 {m}^{2}
