area of the 2 rectangles = 2 x 12 x 3.5 = 84m2

Area of the Total semicircle = 22/7 x 14x14 =616m2

Area of the inner semicircle  =  22/7 x 7x7 = 154 m2

Area  of the shaded semi circle  = 616- 154 = 462 m2

Area of the shaded region = 462 + 84 = 546 m2
