Firstly

Find the area od unshaded area

i.e Πr²

= 22/7×7×7

cancel 7 seven by 7 in the denominator!

so. 22×7

= 154 m²

Hence , find the area of whole circle

Radius = 7 + thickness

= 7+7

= 14 cm

i.e Πr²

= 22/7×7×14

cancel 7 and 14 as they are factors of 7

so, 22× 7/2

= 154/2

= 77 m²

There fore ,

Area of shaded region = area of small circle - area of whole circle

= 154-77

= 77 m²
