ABCD is a square side side 14cm

area of square=14*14=196cmsq

diameter of circle=14by2=7cm

radius of circle=7/2

area of one circle=πrsquare

22/7*7/2*7/2=154/4=77/2cmsq

therefore,areof 4 circle=4*77/2=154cmsq

hence, area of shaded region=196-164=42cmsq

Area of square ABCD=14×14=196cm sq

Diameter of each circle =14\2cm=7cm

So, radius of each circle =7/2cm

So,area of one circle=pie r sq

=22\7×7/2×7/2cm sq

=154/4 cm sq

=77/2cm sq

Therefore, area of four circles = 4×77/2 cm sq =154cm sq

Hence, area of shaded region = (196-154)cm sq = 42 cm sq
