area of the rectangle = 7 × 20 = 140

area of the two semi-circles == since the radius/diametre of the triangles are equal we can take two semicercles = 1 complete circle

 diametre=7        , so radius =3.5

                  2πr = 2 ×\frac{22}{7}×3.5

                             =2×11

                       =22

area of the shaded region =140-22

                                            =118
