Given ➡

Length of the rectangle= 54m

Breadth of the rectangle= 42m

According to the question➡

Area of rectangle 1 - Area of rectangle 2 = Area of the shaded region

First we will find area of the both rectangles

Area of Rectangle 1

l×b= Area

54×42= 2268m^2

Area of Rectangle 2

l×b=Area

(54-4) (42-2) =50×40=2000m^2

So, Area of rectangle 1 - Area of rectangle 2 = Area of the shaded region

=2268-2000=268m^2

Therefore area of the shaded region is 268m^2
