Heya !!!

As we can see that there are two rectangles I. the given figure.

Length of rectangles = 12 m

And,

Breadth of rectangles = 3.5 m

Therefore,

Area of two rectangles = 2 × ( L * B )

=> 2 × ( 12 × 3.5)

=> 2 × 42

=> 84 m²

Diameter of big semicircle = 7 + ( 2 × 3.5) = 14 m

Radius = D/2 = 14/2 = 7 m

Area of big semicircle = 1/2 πR²

=> 1/2 × 22/7 × 7 × 7

=> ( 22 × 7 ) / 2

=> 77 m²

Diameter of small semicircle = 7 m

Radius of small semicircle = 3.5

Area of small semicircle = 1/2 πR²

=> 1/2 πR²

=> 1/2 × 22/7 × (3.5)²

=> 38.5 m²

Area of shaded region in big semicircle = Area of big semicircle - area of small semicircle

=> 77 - 38.5

=> 38.5 m²

Therefore,

Area of shaded region = Area of 2 rectangles + 38.5

=>84 + 38.5

=> 122.5 m²
