Answer:

L = 26 m

B = 12 m

d = 12-(4+4) = 12-8 = 4 m

r = d/2 = 4/2 = 2 m

b = 4 m

l = L - ( 3 + 3 + r + r )

= 26-(6+2+2)

= 26 - 10

= 16 m

area of shaded region = area of rectangle - 2 area's of semi-circle - area of Internal rectangle

 = l \times b  - 2 \times  \frac{\pi {r}^{2} }{ 2} - l \times b \\  \\  = 26 \times 12 - \pi {r}^{2}  - 16 \times 4 \\  \\  = 312 -  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {2}^{2}  - 64 \\  \\  = 248 -  \frac{22}{7}  \times 4 \\  \\  = 248 -  \frac{88}{7}  \\  \\  = 248 - 12.57 \\  \\  = 235.43 \:  {cm}^{2}
