Answer:

(¡)area of semi circle = πr^2/2

AC = AB+BC = 2AB

=> 28 = 2AB

=> AB = 14

area of two semicircle with same radius i.e.

AB/2 = BC/2 = 14/2 = 7

area of both semicircle = 2× πr^2/2 = πr^2

= 22/7×(7)^2

= 154 cm ^2

Now area of semicircle with radius AC/2 = 28/2 = 14

=> πr^2/2 = 22/7 (14)^2 /2 = 308 cm^2

area of shaded region = 308-154 = 154cm^2

(¡¡) now area of two semicircle with same radius i.e. CD/2=EF/2 =7/2

= 2×πr^2/2 = πr^2 =22/7×(7)^2/((2^2) = 38.5 cm^2

now area of semi circle with radius AB/2 or 21/2

= πr^2/2 = 22/7×21^2/(2^2×2) = 173.25cm^2

area of shaded region = 173.25 -38.5 = 134.75 cm^2
