Answer:

AB=BC=AC(given)

BC=10cm(given)

therefore,

AB=AC=10cm

thus,area of equilateral triangle ABC=(√3/4)×side^2=(√3/4)×10^2=43.3cm^2

are of triangle BDC=1/2×BASE×HEIGHT=1/2×8×10=40cm^2

therefore shaded area=Area of triangle ABC-Area of triangle BDC=43.3-40=3.3cm^2
