Find the area of the shaded region.

Answer:

Area of trapezium ABCD = 1/2 ×(b1+b2) × h

= 1/2×(24+15)×8

=49×4

=196cm²

Area of ∆ABG =1/2× b× h

=1/2×8×6

=24 cm²

Area of ||gm DEFC=b×h

=14×6

=84 cm²

Area of shaded region =196-(24+84)

=196-108

=88 cm ²
