side AB=14cm
since the circles meet each other nd r forming in the square, 14 is diameter of two circles.
therefore in one circle diameter will be 7cm
then radius of one circle is 7/2 cm
ar of ABCD is 14*14 (ABCD is square)
ar ABCD = 196 cm square
ar of one circle = 22/7 * 7/2 * 7/2
ar of circle = 38.5 cm square
ar of 4 circles = 154 cm square
ar of shaded portion = ar of square - ar of all four circles
ar of shaded portion = 196 - 154
= 42 cm square
