Given : A Quadrant of circle  of radius 2

use π = 3.14

To Find :  area of the shape.

Solution:

Area of circle = πr²

Area of sector  = ( sector angle / 360° ) *  πr²

r = 2

sector angle = 90°

Area of shape = ( 90/360)  π(2)²

= (1/4) 4π

= π   sq units

= 3.14 sq units

area of the shape is  π  or  3.14 sq units
