see attachment ,
diameter of circle = diagonal of square
given,
radius of circle = 8 cm
so , diameter of circle = 16 cm
so, diagonal of square = 16 cm
we know,
diagonal of square = √2 × side length of square
16 = √2 × side length
side length = 8√2 cm

now, area of square = (side length )²
= ( 8√2)² cm²
= 128 cm²

Hey there!

Given,

Radius of circle = 8 cm

Diameter = 2 * r = 16 cm

Here, The diameter of circle = diagonal of square = 16 cm

Then, Area of square = diagonal^2/2

                                  = 16^2/2

                                  = 256/2

                                  = 128 cm²

Good day!
