Given, Radius = r=8cm ∵ The diagonals of square subtend right angle at circumference. ∴The diagonals of square are diameters of circle. BD = 2*8 = 16cm Let the sides of square be 'x' cm in the right angle triangle BCD, BC² +CD² = BD² x² + x² = 16² 2x² = 256 x² = 128 Thus the area of square is x² = 128cm²

The diameter of the circle is 16.
The diameter will be the diagonal of the largest square drawn in it.
So the area will be= 1/2×(16)^2=128sq.cm.
