R=8cm

Then, d= 16cm

Therefore side of square =16cm

Area of square =s×s

=16×16

=256 cm square

If the square is inscribed in the circle

Then diagonals = 8cm each

Area of rhombus ( a square is also a rhombus) = D1× D2× 1/2

= 8×8×1/2

=64×1/2

=32 cm Square
