We know that the measure of each angle of square is 90°.

By Pythagoras Theorem,

side^2 + side^2 = diagonal^2

2 side^2 = ( 5.2 )^2

2 side^2 = 27.04

side^2 = 27. 0 4 / 2

side^2 = 13.52 cm^2        ....( i )

we know that the area of square is side^2, from ( i )

Area of the  square = side^2

                                = 13.52 cm^2

Therefore area of the square is 13.52 cm^2
