Given :

• Parallel sides of trapezium are of length 2.5m and 5m.

• Height of trapezium is 3m.

To Find :

• Area of the trapezium.

Solution :

• Area(trapezium) = [½ × (sum of parallel sides) × distance b/w them(height)]

➱ Area(trapezium) = [½ × (2.5 + 5) × 3]

➱ Area(trapezium) = ½ × 7.5 × 3

➱ Area(trapezium) = 22.5 ÷ 2

➱ Area(trapezium) = 11.25

∴ Area of trapezium is 11.25m²
