⇒ $\sf{Area \: of \: trapezium = \dfrac{15 + 20}{2} \times 8}$

Add the numerator,

⇒ $\sf{Area \: of \: trapezium = \dfrac{35}{2} \times 8}$

Cancel 2 and 8,

⇒ $\sf{Area \: of \: trapezium = 35 \times 4}$

Multiply 35 by 4,

⇒ $\sf{Area \: of \: trapezium = 140 \: cm^2}$

∴ So, the area of the trapezium is 140 cm².
