Given

AB = 8 + 6 = 14cm

CD = 8cm

and

oc =  \sqrt{cb {}^{2}  - ob {}^{2} }  \\ oc =  \sqrt{17 {}^{2} - 8 {}^{2}  }  \\ oc =   \sqrt{289 - 64}  \\ oc =  \sqrt{225}  \\ oc = 15cm

Now area of trapezium = (sum of parallel sides X height) /2

So area if given trapezium

 \frac{(ab + cd) \times oc}{2} \\  =\frac{(14 + 8) \times 15}{2}  \\  =  \frac{22 \times 15}{2}  \\  = 11 \times 15 \\  = 165cm {}^{2}
