We have to find the area of the triangle ABC given a = 112 m , b = 219 m and A = 20°

solution : using sine rule,

sinA/a = sinB/b = sinC/c

here A = 20° , a = 112 m , b = 219 m

now, sin20°/112 = sinB/219

⇒0.34202/112 = sinB/219

⇒sinB = 0.6687 = 42°

now sum of all angles of triangle ABC = 180°

⇒A + B + C = 180°

⇒20° + 42° + C = 180°

⇒C = 180° - 62° = 118°

now using area of triangle ABC = 1/2 ab sinC

= 1/2 × 112 × 219 × sin118°

= 62 × 219 × 0.8829

= 11988.0162 m² ≈ 11988 m²

Therefore the area of given triangle would be 11988 m².
