hey......
.
.
x + 1 / 2 = 2 or , x = 3

y + ( - 4 ) / 2 = - 1 or, y = 2

or , B ( 3 , 2 )

or , X1 + 1 / 2 = 0 or, X1 = - 1

Y1 + ( - 4 ) / 2 = - 1 or, Y1 = 2

or, C = ( - 1 , 2 )

Now the coordinates are A ( 1 , - 4 ) B ( 3 , 2 ) C ( - 1 , 2 )

Area of triangle..
.
= 1 / 2 [ X1 ( Y2 - Y3 ) + X2 ( Y3 - Y1 ) + X3 ( Y1 - Y2 ) ]

= 1 / 2 [ 1 ( 2 - 2 ) + 3 ( 2 + 4 ) - 1 ( - 4 - 2 ) ]

= 1 / 2 [ 0 + 18 + 6 ]

= 12 sq. Units..
